Our ingredients are carefully sourced from reputable suppliers, as close to home as possible. We prioritize natural, organic, non-GMO ingredients, where each certified organic ingredient meets rigorous standards. Our commitment to ethical practices extends to choosing suppliers who align with our sustainability values, ensuring that our ingredients are of the highest quality and grown with minimal environmental impact.
Energy Use and Emissions
Our manufacturing partners in New Zealand harness renewable energy from hydrostations and wind farms, significantly reducing emissions and eliminating the need for fossil fuels. They are also exploring solar energy to further enhance energy efficiency. At Radical Botanics, we continuously seek ways to minimize our carbon footprint.
Water Management
Water is an essential resource, and our manufacturer's production methods treat it as such. Water-efficient practices are employed to limit water usage to only what's necessary. By using water entrapment systems and recycled water where possible, no drop goes to waste. Additionally, all wastewater is carefully managed and treated, ensuring minimal impact on the environment.
PS. We even took the extra care to farm our creative ideas from humans, eliminating the water waste from ChatGPT.
Waste and Packaging
We are dedicated to minimizing waste at every stage of production, storage and distribution. Wherever possible, any packaging or transport material used is compostable, recyclable or re-usable. Waste produced during production is disposed of responsibly. We're dedicated to eliminating single use plastic and promoting a circular economy. This aspect of our sustainability practices is not perfect but we are comitted to investing in continuous evaluation and improvement.
Product Life Cycle and Disposal
We provide clear guidelines on how to properly dispose of packaging, encouraging customers to correctly recycle materials. Our goal is to ensure that Radical Botanics contributes to a healthier planet, through ever improving green processes.
Transportation and Logistics
We recognize that transportation emissions contribute to our environmental impact. To mitigate this, we aim to use carbon-conscious freight options and plastic-free, recyclable or compostable packaging materials for shipping wherever possible. We currently limit shipping to Australasia to minimize our carbon footprint.
Social Responsibility and Animal Welfare
We prioritize ethical labor practices by paying living wages within our company and partnering with manufacturers who do the same. We ensure safe working conditions and foster a respectful environment for all employees involved in our supply chain.
Additionally, none of our ingredients, or our products, are tested on animals. All of our products are cruelty-free and vegan - created with the belief that animal welfare is integral to our overall mission. Caring for people, animals, and the planet is at the heart of everything we do.
